World’s Greatest Bookshops According to lonely planet

lonely planet gives us their list of the World’s Greatest Bookshops.

Check it out!

I should travel more. Some of my U.S. favorites are the Strand and Bauman Rare Books in New York City, Powell’s in Portland, The Elliot Bay Book Company in Seattle, and, of course, Latitude 33 in Laguna Beach.

  1. Jake says:

Dude. I finally made it to Powell’s this weekend and, holy hell, I want to build an apartment in there. I also agree that The Elliot Bay Company and Latitude 33 are high, sexy quality.

Also, Book People in Austin is rad. I asked for an application while there on vacation because it was just THAT cool.

  2. Isn’t it swell? I love tall, uneven stacks of colorful books.
