Angry, In Other Words

The lip biting was just another form of anger. Another physical means to show us that he was angry, and that he was trying to, with some semblance of effort, keep himself from taking out the backhand, fist or otherwise.

It was the 2 x 4 I remember most vividly. Looking around for something that would do just that much more damage, he found it propped up against the wall in the garage. I rack my brain to discover the reasons why, but I can’t seem to unearth them. The only memory left is of the piece of wood.

Angry, in other words.
